Bush Poetry, whether serious or humorous, has always been an integral part of Stone the Crows Festival.
For 2022, we will start the day with Breakfast at Nathan’s Restaurant in the Crow Central building. At 8.30 am we will start with the morning show where Mel and Susie will certainly keep you enthralled with both serious and humorous poetry as well as their comic routines. Both are champion Australian Bush Poets, so they have both talent and expertise in their presentation.
There will be walk-up poetry sessions each day as well as on Easter Monday (open day and markets) where poetry takes the form of the gReyVee awards for either Serious or Humorous Performance. Any one is welcome to enter but please remember is is recitation – not reading.
During the walk-ups, you are welcome to practice your entry for the gReyVee awards or read your piece for your own satisfaction and our enjoyment.
In addition there will be seminars on poetry and performance – check out the program when it is available.
Be prepared to be entertained, laugh or cry – the stories are real and sometimes emotions can be raw.
