Stone the Crows 2018

Crow Chronicle Newsletters What's On How to Book The Venue ACTA Grounds Open Day and Markets Welcome to the home of Stone the Crows Festival

Crow Chronicle

Firstly thank you to everyone who has pre-booked for the Crafty Crows and Daddy Day Care activities.  Last year, you asked for a better booking system, we listened and offered pre-booking through the Crow Chronicle. Our flock rewarded this by prebooking over 120 classes and activities in under a week. The whip making classes are fully booked and there is a waiting list. Some classes only have one or two spots left, others have several vacancies. So don't hesitate to email as previously advised.

Please remember.... your position in the class is NOT confirmed until you actually attend the booking sessions on the arrival day (2.30 pm at both marquees) and pay the tutor for the kit.  If you don't turn up between 2.30 pm and 4 pm, your position could be taken by someone else.  This is fair to our tutors who have put up their own money to purchase kits in anticipation of your interest.

The timetable and program will be available on the website tomorrow .... go to and click on the What's On icon at the top of the page. Then you can start planning just how many items you can fit into your week.

As previously advised, Rod Hannifey is back again with the big truck. More importantly he has a great new project involving Trucks, RV's and Road Safety to launch at Stone the Crows. Thanks to all our previous attendees who have welcomed him we are the first to learn of this proposal. In addition the four major motorhome and caravan clubs have an executive member attending the Festival and they will have a meeting with Rod to see how this can be developed within the RV clubs in Australia. If only one life is saved, it will be very worthwhile.

Rod Hannifey

So even if you've attended Rod's talks before, this one is a must not miss - either Friday afternoon or Saturday morning.

Finally we welcome StatePlus Superannuation as a new partner with the Festival.  Chris Mainwaring will be presenting three information seminars

  • Introduction to Retirement Planning
  • Understanding Centrelink and other Financial Issues in Retirement
  • Making your Money Work for you

With the announcements of possible changes to share dividend imputation yesterday, we need to keep ourselves as aware as possible of the best opportunities to maximise our dollars to maintain a reasonable lifestyle. If you have specific questions, StatePlus will be available site to talk one on one throughout the week.

It's countdown now over the next two weeks, so please email any queries if possible and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Travel safely till we come to our nesting grounds
