One of the good things about festivals is the way we promote each other's events (or cross-contaminate as I call it).

Bonnie Doon Music Festival is organised by long members of our flock Chris and Barryne Wilson.  This year you will find Barryne heading the line dancing sessions and Chris will be demonstrations of his 3D printer at Daddy Day Care.

We are pleased to advise a few bits about this event to be held on 16/17/18 February - and yes Bonnie Down is where the Kerrigan family had their holiday house in the wonderful Aussie movie The Castle.  It's just over 2 hours roughly north of Melbourne or under 2 hours from Albury which makes it an easy weekend drive especially for our flock members in this region.

More than 20 artists will be there over 3 days with 3 stages operating, plus Bush Dance on Friday night and workshops, followed by poets breakfast on Sunday,  There is limited camping available at the venue at the Bonnie Door Recreation Reserve in Davon Street but the local caravan park and Lakeside Leisure Resort are also offering great discounts if you have a festival ticket.

Lineup includes : Rattlincane, Famous Will, Long and Short, Gayle O'Neil, Bowen and Clare, Robyn and Rancheros, New Macedon Rangers, Reverend and Mrs Rowdy, Paul Carey, Dave Diprose, Bill Dettmer, Billabong Bush Band, Jenny Taylor, Cathy Dobson, Sandra Rasmussen, Southern Light, Ray Smith, Gareth Leach, The Other Band and that's just for starters.
