As part of our Open Day entertainment, for your enjoyment we present three of our own Crow Talent, Graham Drury, Phil Benson and Alan Lazarus who will be inviting their musical mates to join them on stage in the Club House.
Alan Lazarus took up music at the tender age of 65 – in fact his first public performance was at the first Stone the Crows gathering in 2013, where he met up with some other music loving grey nomads, Including festival regulars Phil Benson and Graeme Drury, and they won the first ever Stone The Crows Talent Quest!
As a kid growing up in Burwood NSW, Alan loved listening to country music on the ‘wireless’ and bawled his eyes out, aged seven, when his dad sang Old Shep. Now retired, Alan was spent his working life in the telecommunications industry, both within Australia and overseas.
A self-taught vocalist and Autoharp player, he now performs regularly for various community groups and at the occasional music festival.
Having been part of our gReyVee Awards Talent Quest since the inception of the Festival, they will keep your feet tapping with a variety of musical genres from country to blues and gospel.
