The game of Ladder Golf is played in rounds and the rules may be slightly different at Stone the Crows Festival than how it may normally be played.
All teams must be mixed triples (ladies and men) and each team member throws 1 bola when their turn comes around e.g.:
Team X player 1, Team Y player 1,
Team X player 2 Team Y player 2,
Team X player 3, Team Y player 3
The goal of the game is to get the bolas to catch on one of the rungs which are 15 feet or 5 steps from the throw line. The top rung is worth 3 points, the middle rung is 2 points and the bottom rung 1 point.
The first team to score 21 exactly at the completion of the round are the winners of that game.
To score exactly if your team score is 19 and your team player lands a 3 point score you have busted your total therefore your team score stays on 19 until your next team player tries to land the correct points required before the opposing team. All players must complete the round before a winner is declared.
Should both teams draw in 21 at the end of the round, Captains or nominated player to throw 1 bolas each to decide which team go through to the next round, if they throw the same score then they repeat throw again until one player has the higher at end of round.
All rounds to be best of three games.
If a odd number of teams nominate then the odd team out will advance to next round, except if there are 3 teams in the last round before the grand final then they will play a round robin to determine which 2 teams advance to Grand Final.
