Peter Mace

We welcomed Bush Poet Peter Mace to our very first Stone the Crows Festival. Since then he has watched our progress and this year wanted to return to see how the flock had grown.

Peter Mace is an award winning Bush Poet who is a regular at events such as the Illawarra Folk Festival, the National Folk Festival in Canberra, Woodford Folk Festival and more but always can be found on the last Wednesday of each month at the Hotel Gosford, near his home on the Central Coast of NSW.

Former “Australian Bush Poetry Champion”,a three times winner of the prestigious “Golden Damper Award” at the Tamworth Bush Poetry competition, Reciter of the Year at the “National Folk Festival” and best male performer at “The Man From Snowy River Festival” are but a few of the awards to come Peter’s way.

A quiet unassuming gentle man,  he comes alive on stage with poetry from the frivolous and lighthearted to the serious.

Peter will be with us for the full week of Stone the Crows sharing poetry performance, workshops and more.
